We attempted to raise some money for Joe D'Angelli's (NJ Batman) tragedy. Unfortunately, while Halloween in December was a great event, it didn't make a profit--it's the first event of ours which hasn't made a profit in quite a long time. (In contrast to the Wicked Good Time, which raised a $600 donation for the Hyacinth AIDS foundation.)

It was our intention to make a donation to Joe out of profits from the Wicked Faire the following February 10th. But due to apparent miscommunications, certain friends' of Joe felt that our donation took too long and they feel that our offer was not sincere; we were [rather strongly] notified of this just before Wicked Faire in early February, 2007. While we explained the situation and offered to make good on our promise immediately, Joe informed us that he feels he has "no need"

As requested, we have removed any photos of Joe from our web-site or promotional materials. Please know that our heart still goes out to Joe, and that we wish things had turned out differently.
